Same mission, different uniform
Members of the Marine Corps League join together in camaraderie and fellowship for the purpose of preserving the traditions and promoting the interests of the United States Marine Corps and of American freedom and democracy. We assist all Marines, FMF Corpsmen, FMF Chaplains, and their widows and orphans. We perpetuate the history of the United States Marine Corps, and by fitting acts, observe the anniversaries of historical occasions of particular interest to Marines.
Founded May 21, 1970, the Department of Texas is responsible for oversight of organizational units called detachments throughout the state of Texas. Each year a group of Officers are elected at the state convention that govern the direction of the department for the following year.
