Darian’s instrumental role in designing, building, and maintaining the Captain John Yancey Detachment website and consistent production of professional-grade photographs during Detachment functions have significantly enhanced the detachment’s image. His creation of business cards and challenge coins for the Detachment has further facilitated their recruitment efforts.

Darian’s contributions extended to organizing the 2023 Department Fall Conference, held at the Sheraton DFW Airport Hotel from October 5-7, 2023. His responsibilities included the assembly of the conference program guide. This guide received high praise from many who attended the event.

In the Captain John Yancey Detachment elections held on April 13, 2024, Darian was elected Commandant in a contested election, reflecting the membership’s confidence in his qualifications. He was installed as Commandant on May 11, 2024.

Beyond his service in the Marine Corps League, Darian is an active member in his community of Cedar Hill, TX, serving on the Cedar Hill Neighborhood Advisory Board and participating in several community events. He also championed the support for the Backpacks For Life (BFL) program, a unique support system for homeless and at-risk veterans. As Chairman of the special committee, Darian coordinated with the Dallas Police Department and local businesses for donations, featuring an event fair to encourage participation.

In his six-year Marine Corps career, Darian was an 0811 Field Artillery Cannoneer assigned to Charlie Battery, 1st Battalion, 14th Marines.
